Product Options Not Showing

Many products in LiveStorage will have selectable options, such as the preconfigured towers in the example below.

If these option windows are no longer working, it is likely related to a known bug in the latest version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.

LiveStorage relies on Internet components built into the operating system. This specific bug affects screen position for zoomed displays. When choosing an option, such as a tower configuration, it appears the button is not doing anything because the options are actually expanding off-screen. The following steps should reset the Zoom levels and allow the options to display properly in LiveStorage:

  • Right-Click on the Desktop and choose Screen Resolution
  • Choose the option “Make text and other items larger or smaller
  • Select the option for Smaller – 100%
  • Choose Apply and follow the prompts to log back into Windows
  • Open LiveStorage and check that the options are appearing properly.
Please note that this will make text and icons smaller on your monitor. It is possible that adjusting the screen resolution will allow text and icons to display in a larger format, however the Display Zoom must remain at 100% for the options to continue working in LiveStorage.
There is a bug filed with Microsoft, but it is unclear when/if this will be resolved in a future Internet Explorer update. (April 2014)
